I'm nearing the end of my trajectory. So this is sort of my last shot at here are some things that maybe you, down the line, may find useful, because it's unlikely that I will be traveling the world saying these things for very much longer. I sometimes say this to rooms full of young people. I say, climate change is going to be your problem, but it's not going to be my problem for very much longer, because I'm going to die. No, you're not! I say, well, actually, yes, I am. Maybe I shouldn't have been quite so morbid. But I don't think it's morbid. I think here's a package that I can put some of these things into, pass them along without having to teach in a (WHISPERING) university. Without having to teach in a universi-- So thank you for staying with me for all this time, and good luck with everything that you're doing, and farewell.

Just so inspirational! The content is very usefully practically but the real gift is Margaret passing the torch to other aspiring writers out there. I feel she has delivered something timeless that goes to the heart of why anyone might want to write: To tell stories that are gifts to readers and which may get passed on if you have learnt your craft as well as Margaret has. Very insightful. I was happily surprised to discover a witty Margaret Atwood, she's great, sensible, intelligent and honest.
I really enjoyed and loved this class. I did heard about Margaret Atwood before, but this is my first time to discover her work through her own words. It's very inspiring. I did buy two of her books of short stories and I will continue to return to listen this class again. Thanks Margaret for this wonderful opportunity to know you.
This class was spectacular! Educational, humorous, and authentic. Margaret is such an inspiration.
It was great. Interesting. Sometimes frustrating. I discovered new things, new web resources. Would be nice to have more interaction, also the possibility of submitting some pages for a quick review not necessarily from Margaret but someone of her choice. In any case I was glad to have completed this class.

She is so fun to listen to. Her anecdotes, advice, I could listen to her speak forever.
This was my first class here and I'm gonna watch it again. And again. Margaret Atwood is such an inspiring, wise, gifted woman and I'm thankful I had the opportunity to watch her give away all these advices (without going to University).

I love this author/instructors style and appreciate her non-sugar coated real life advice. Her advice on not focusing on genre and the importance of finishing things turned my reasons for procrastination around. I have been a closet writer for years. I write poetry, short stories and have a finished novelette that is a children/adult book, which is very important to me. The book was started 10 years ago and is ready to be sent out. So I thank you Margaret Atwood for giving me the courage to be vulnerable. I will definitely read the book "Mortification" to bolster my strength! When I think of you and read your many books I will have a fondness for your teaching just as I would a favorite, stylish and very wise Auntie.

Simply loved this session with Margaret Atwood. I have three books published with good sized houses and another coming out but I don't know everything. But I learned a lot from this terrific writer.
